Why I Wrote a Thriller to Explain Cosmology

Introduction:

For years, I was fascinated by the evidence for a designed universe—the fine-tuning of physical constants, the complexity of the cell, the information in DNA. I wrote articles, gave talks, and compiled the research that would eventually become *The Big Five Truths*. But I kept running into the same problem: for many people, the science felt too abstract, too distant from their daily lives. The facts were powerful, but they weren’t landing with the emotional impact they deserved.

I realized I needed a different approach. I needed a bridge.

The Power of Story:

Humans are wired for narrative. We understand the world through stories of heroes, villains, conflict, and resolution. A scientific paper can convince the mind, but a great story can capture the heart. I decided that the best way to introduce these profound ideas to a wider audience was not through another non-fiction book, but through a story that would make them *feel* the weight of the discovery.

***The Signature*** was born from this idea. It’s a work of fiction, but the core scientific and philosophical questions are very real. By wrapping the evidence in a high-stakes thriller, I could:

  1. **Create Emotional Stakes:** Instead of just reading about cosmic constants, you experience the discovery through the eyes of Dr. Sarah Mitchell, who risks her life for it.
  2. **Illustrate the Opposition:** The Prometheus Foundation isn’t just a philosophical objection; they are a tangible, dangerous threat. This makes the intellectual battle a physical one.
  3. **Build a Bridge to Curiosity:** I hope that after reading the thriller, you’ll be so captivated by the ideas that you’ll want to know more. You’ll ask, “But is any of this real?” And that’s where *The Big Five Truths* comes in. It’s the answer to the question the novel inspires.

*The Signature* is the emotional journey. *The Big Five Truths* is the logical destination. By starting with the story, I hope to open a door for readers who might never have picked up a book on cosmology or intelligent design. It’s an invitation to wonder, to be thrilled, and ultimately, to discover a truth that is more profound than any fiction.
